As Vadodara’s Ellora Park area acquired its name from an ancient society, a society situated in old Ahmedabad known as Thakkarbapa Nagar extended its identity to entire area.Ahmedabad being a commercial hub has drawn hundreds of people from small villages and towns for employment in various fields like chemical, textile, pharmaceutical, diamond and such other sectors. Thakkarbapa Nagar has substantial migrant population and the area keeps growing day by day. Situated in the neighbourhood of Odhav, Bapunagar, Shahstri Nagar, Nikol and Rakhial, this locality is an ideal affordable living alternative. It is located at a distance of 12.5-km from Ahmedabad old city and 28.8 km away from the state capital Gandhinagar. It is just 12-km away from Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport.
